Scotland 2014 Freelander 2 TD4_e Dynamic Manual Fuji White

The bonnet guard approximately worked out at 200 Aussie dollars which at them time worked out at a tad over £100 the deflectors are the stick on type made by egr who manufacturer LRs current range of wind deflectors for the RRS, Full Fat and Disco! Only difference is the ones that they supply direct to LR are stamped LR and come in a clear/light smoke finish! Egr are allowed to see them under their own name, providing they remove the LR stamped logo which they replace with their own identity egr. Personally I prefer their version in a dark smoke finish! Got my windows tinted on Monday and the deflectors look good with the tints Thumbs Up

Not sure about the D pillar coding Confused

Not sure if it's because its different to what I'm used to seeing on standard or because it stands out because it's done

Each to own though Thumbs Up

Cheers Thumbs Up I think its more because you have not seen it done before. Here's a picture when it came of the transporter black moulding and d pillar dated the new car! I have got additional gloss black painted on the car to compensate for the additional white! Hears a better shot of the boot trim in gloss black which the dealers did for me! Looking at the photos before and after I know what I would have Thumbs Up

Agreed its because it's something I'm not used to seeing, when you see the original and coded together the coded is better

And as Andy points out your is white and mine is not Evil or Very Mad

I see where your coming from Nut regarding the last picture and the pillar trims not being right.

How about this suggestion. Why not buy another couple of pillar trims and have them done in gloss black. As they are easily removable you could swap and change as you see fit.

I think gloss black would look bang up to date and blend in with the windows! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Nice idea CG. Doing it gloss black would give the floating roof look! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Dave I went for a 5% tint, as on a white car I wanted that extra contrast and I liked the deep gloss black effect it would have on the Freely! I've had 20% in the past but I'm glad I opted for limo tint this time. Tints are always a personal choice, personally, I would not tint the rears any lighter than 20% good thing about limo is that their is no need at all to use the boot roller blind. Mav I have got a 3 year paint warranty on the D pillars and door mouldings so no chance I will be changing these buddy Laughing . I can see your theory behind the gloss black d pillars but I would think that it would look like someone with bad taste took it to their local paint shop! My way of coding the d pillars looks more in touch with the cars naturally lines. It shows the edges of the car nicely and it gives a more planted look which helps the rear end look more squarer and with the body pack it gives the car a more aggressive look! It now also matches the A and C pillars. This is the way LR should have made the dynamic. The stock car looked too tame for my liking! The coded door moulding acts as an extra rib and it looks like it's a part of the bodykit in a way. CG I would rather have a permanent mod as painting rather than wrapping. To have a floating roof you would have to also paint the A,B,C and D pillars all gloss black to match. The B pillars are a funny smooth texture black so they would not be a good match against gloss black. A floating roof takes away the cars naturally shape. As I was after a more chisel look the coded D pillars were for me Thumbs Up MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Also fitted the black badges. As much as I love the green oval it looked an eyesore against a gloss back grill!
