Washer Fluid warning

I discovered today that a warning is given when the washer fluid is low. I don't remember seeing this in the specs, is it a standard feature on all variations of FLR2. Does anyone know of any other unpublished gizmo's? Surprised Freelander 2 - SE

Not unpublished, it's on page 153 of the online owners manual Smile

did you know that headlamps are washed alternately to prevent reduced light output from washing both headlamps at the same time? Phil

Thanks phil_wkl, I will pore over my handbook again, I certainly missed that one! Embarassed . I discovered the alternate light washer, I think this was one aspect that led me to discover the low fluid warning!
Thanks again. Thumbs Up Freelander 2 - SE

Screen wash water must be expensive at the land-rover factory as they put next to non in my car when they made it, or is that the dealers job?

cg it might not be parsimony but the volume at which the vehicle was homologated at. After all you wouldnt expect the vehicle to do all those tests at full weight now would you. Suggest everybody checks the boot and back seat for unnecessary luggage, it costs to lug superfluous weight. Must start that promised Lent diet next year still pining for my 3dr, no removeable hardtop, no drop glass tailgate, no roof rack, no pockets everywhere to stow all that man kit

its laziness! also a dealer will always fill the reservoir up at your expense during a service so why not start ownership with a full bottle. it is a bit big though 4 kettles if I recall.

You`d have thought in this day and age that they`d be using a plastic container like other car makers, not old kettles!! Don`t drive faster than your angel can fly!

Land-rover is land-rover if kettles have been good enough for 60 years why change!.

On another note does your rear wash fire a jet down the screen or just sort of flood down? Mine floods but works fine.

Also why do wives complain so much when you park near the back of the supermarket carpark, Its only 50 yards further you don't have to cross the incoming traffic route and you can open the doors wide due to no other cars near. And of course no door dings. And its near the trolley return so ultimately not much extra walking needed.

Hot tip.. Take your penny jar to supermarket tip it in the coin machine, grab voucher... result only £33 for weekly shop.. I've asked Mrs George why she doesn't do that every week it would save us a fortune Exclamation She just gave me a dirty look and told me to park closer next time!

I do support Mr Patel, I drive a car his sons makes, and his other son makes my weekly take away, sells me my newspaper each morning and takes me home from the pub in his taxi Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Mine floods also, and the dealer says it's not supposed to do that. They tried to fix it at the first service, but have now ordered a replacement part. Looking in the manual, you can adjust the front windshield nozzles, but not the one for the back window.
