Alternative sidesteps

Hi
I'm picking up my new (to me) FL2 next weekend so i'm buying a few things beforehand.
1st on the list are sidesteps to avoid the dings and after deciding on the oe lookalikes from powerfuluk i found these - http://www.direct4x4.co.uk/land-rover-free...side-steps
These look easier to fit as they sit under the plastic side trims and don't have the fiddly brackets to align?
Has anyone else fitted these or can comment on if they'll be better?

Thanks

Prefer steps to bars as they stick out a bit more so offer better protection from car doors Wink

The steps will offer very minimal protection, they are to low down to offer any use, park next to any car and watch as the door opens, the lower part of the door is not so pronounced as the middle of the door, hence the middle will make contact first. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

I can't comment on them being better than the ones we all know and see on most freelanders,
I had a similar set on my jeep with the same kind of brackets and after a while the brackets started to bend Shocked
So with that I can only comment on the ones i had fitted on my jeep ones that looked very similar, and that would be do a bit of research before you buy on how strong the brackets are Thumbs Up BETTER looking half of the famous Twinlanders

This was the video which made my mind up about them - don't look too hard to fit (famous last words) Laughing

Might paint the silver brackets with black smoothrite before i fit them?

Also ordered a rivnut tool from those guys to make things easier
