United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Tambora Flame
Found This When My Bumper Was Off

All - when I had my car done this weekend we took the fron off and found this....

"TAM" is the colour ( Tambora ) but does any one have any thoughts on what "S'wipe Trial" means ?

Just curious really.

Could be.... still means nothing though ....

I have a feeling this must have been one of the first off the line ( age and all )...

I think it will be a reference to the 5 stage wash wipe function of the wipers which came in I think in 2006 on the disco and defender. I think 5 wipes was found to be excessive so they reverted to 3. _________________

I dont but thats part of the reason why I ask.... its the right age to be one of the first out of the door and I have no idea why but it feels ex demo to me.... ( literally a feeling ).

As for the wipe - I'll check when i'm in the car later as I leave it pretty much on auto ( or do what ever it feels like doing mode )....

I can guarantee this will have absolutely nothing to do with the factory during the build process. This is more than likely something done sines it was built, maybe in a Bodyshop or something.

They don't right anything on the cars during production.

What are the last 4/5 digits of your chassis number, as this is the actual build number. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Having returned from Halewood today we can confirm that they most certainly do write on body panels at the factory, there was a number of floorpans that were sat next to a line, with writing all over them, non of it made sense, codes mainly written in permanent marker.
The panels in question also had signs on them saying not to be used and for the attention of someone, they also looked to be too long for a FL2?
Interesting day indeed.

Maybe for the 7 seater which was why all the building work going on behind the screens and also LRE guide did not deny it. Life Honorary Member of Wallasey Motor Club.
