Sorry, this is well off topic but, thanks carriec for posting that picture of the Tambora Flame FL2 with colour matched plastic mouldings. I was going to do this to mine but after seeing that piccy I'm not going to now as it does not look right to me. i will however fit the rear spolier and probably the longer tailgate handle. |

I totally appreciate that Chris I preferred the old style however, as it looked smart with the Land Rover stamped on it! have even been thinking of taking my chrome arse off and replacing it with the old style handle colour coded of course MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

Just an observation. Recently removed the full length tailgate handle, chrome, number plate lights, etc to fit a reversing camera. I was very disappointed to discover that on my 26k mile 60 plate Freelander that the tailgate paint under the edge of the handle strip was fretting and had gone down through the undercoat to bare metal in several places! The plastic handle has thin single-sided foam on the inside but even at such low mileage this appears to have been "squeezed" inwards allowing the plastic to chafe against the paint. The handle was not loose - I suspect that the tailgate suffers from some high frequency vibration.
