Side Indicators - whats best?

I am awaiting delivery of my FL2 next month and have noticed that many members have changed their side indicator lenses to clear rather than the supplied orange - I must admist they look much classier.

However, where is the best place to buy them? there appear to be many on EBAY or is it best to try somewhere else, do I go for clear lense or smoked, is an orange bulb or LED best? Somebody help!

Also, LED lights for the boot - wheres the best place to get them from?

THANKS!

the leds in the boot/cabin really brighten things up and give a nice Blueish glow. I copied other forum members after reading this post

for side repeaters look here or try ebay to save a few £££

Various forum members have disgused their reasons for choosing clear or smoked side indicator lenses, and I was also a bit unsure when I bought mine off ebay. http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ25QQsassZrangeroverrangeQQssPageNameZSTRKQ3aMEFSQ3aMESOI

It really comes down to personal preference and body colour I guess. However after looking at other members photos in the gallery I decided on clear lenses and orange bulbs (which were included) which has unfortunatly been described as "a fried egg effect" Surprised but on the Stornoway Grey body they look far better that the original orange lenses Thumbs Up .

However I have concidered getting led's maybe, but to be honest I think you have to be very fussy worrying about the effect of driving around with half your breakfast on the side of the car Rolling with laughter

Good luck at making your choice, you wont regret getting rid of the orange lenses Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Hi All

I am about to pick up a Baltic Blue FL2 next week, and want clear repeaters, but I think I will wait until the 2009 model is released so I can at least check the prices of the genuine part clear lenses.

Chris.

Never mind driving around with half your breakfast stuck to your car, some people have the kitchen, bedroom and toilet stuck on the back of the car Whistle

It is possible to get silver bulbs that illuminate orange if you really don't want the fried egg effect. Mine have the egg effect but that's fine by me.
As for Oem landrover lights, I don't think they will be any better than the more pricey of the ebay offerings which have the correct quality approval, they look to be the same quality as the orange ones I took off the car.

The clear lenses including orange bulbs I bought off ebay (see my previous post) cost £20 plus postage. It is impossible to see the difference in style and fitting to the original ones and the delivery (to Norway) took only several days Thumbs Up and I would throughly reccomend this ebay seller. As chicken george says the Oem Land Rover equivalent will probably be pricy when they are eventually available. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
