Ford at Bulford

Footage from my mate's dash cam, following me through the ford at Bulford - during our Salisbury Plain green lane trip. Quality isn't brilliant but thought I'd share it anyway. Wink

That looks great. Smile Did you mudflaps effect ground clearance?

I don't have mud flaps fitted - deliberate choice as I figured they would reduce ground clearance & possibly get ripped off. Be interested to hear from someone who has green laned with mud flaps. 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green

Oh yes, just looked in your gallery. Laughing I ordered some from powerful uk. I'm going to fit them soon as I think the make the car look lower. I haven't gone off roading yet, but I don't think that they should effect ground clearance too much. Thumbs Up

Just looked in your gallery and noticed another FL2 with mudflaps, did they have any problems with ground clearance?

Ha Ha! You know, I never noticed! Well they didn't fall off otherwise he would have mentioned it Rolling with laughter

I'll have to ask him & report back. Incidentally, I have 65 profile tyres on 17" rims, lower profiles would have reduced ground clearance a bit. 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green

Powerful uk do them for £45. They might help keep the Santorini black clean. Wink

Yep, mudflaps are a complete waste in fords.
I had three riped off all at once and watched them float away Big Cry Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

My dads D2 had mudflaps and they never came off (as far as I can remember). I need to find some fords around Surrey. Razz

Our group leader was using a route mapped out by the expert who worked out the navigation for us as an overall group, we were told he wouldn't let us go somewhere we shouldn't so I presume all was OK. There were plenty of others using the same route. 2020 Defender D200 110S Pangea Green
