Had to take the FL2 to rescue my daughter in her Renault Megane which had hit a pothole in the road and punctured a tyre. I had gone over the same pothole earlier with no problems however despite the fact that we both had 17" wheels hers were low profile 205/50/R17. Result tyre split and possibly new alloy required. Tyre fitter commented - low profile tyres deliver most of my profit ! 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Hi all, I have been wearing varifocal glasses for 25 years now and the only problems I have had is with the lenses from certain high street opticians, the best is with Nikon varifocal lenses never ever any problems them fantastic lenses but very expensive. No problem with them on stairs or driving and as I used to drive ambulances it would certainly have been a problem
I would never go back to bi-focal or single prescription lenses so go for the varifocals you wont regret it.
Have a Happy New Year everyone.
Cheers
Moe

Hit a wild pig while crossing a mountain range at about midnight.. Was doing about 55mph and just ran right in front of me. Braked as hard as I could safely but kept straight and it went straight under the front.

Pig was basically cut in half. Pig poop all over the bumper and bonnet. Only damage was some snapped plastic poppers that held some plastic bits on.. so cable ties to see me home. Front of the Freelander did a great job directing the pig down and under. Small car would have been a totally different story!

If I could have spared the room id have taken what was left home for the freezer, but full car at the time and wasn't in the mood to get it on the roof and get any more of it on me than I had done already with a couple of hours drive left Laughing

Folded all the seats down and took the large Christmas tree we had on the 1st floor lounge balcony to the tip. It was quite cramped whilst driving inside “the forest” and interesting reversing with only a driver door mirror visible from the driver seat Smile

Dark when I got back. Tomorrow I will mostly be cleaning Christmas tree needles out of the car! To be fair though, they are the broad, soft and non spiky ones, so should come out ok.
