Tyre Pressure For General Grabbers

Can someone tell me the Tyre Pressures for the General Grabber AT2 235/65/17. I think mine are a bit soft. Has anyone noticed any significant difference in fuel consumption using the GG? It may be a combination of things but my MPG is slightly down this could be due to loose connection on inter cooler picked up on recent service. Thank you in advance for your help and advice.

PM Andy at AJS 4x4, he is the grabber man, I would think the would run at the plate pressure set by LR but there may be a small change Thumbs Up

Run at normal pressures.

MPG will dip by about 2-3 mpg

Andy has reccomended in past running higher pressures to reduce this effect , I have usually run at max settings on plate , as if fully loaded all the time, but very negligible difference I have found

These tyres to me at least, always looked under inflated, must just be the design.

Thanks I will try them at a few pounds over and see how I get on with the MPG issue. 35psi should do the job.

You run the risk of uneven tyre wear if you under or over inflate them. Make sure you keep a close watch on tread depth across the width of the tyre and reduce /increase pressures accordingly. You could end up trashing a set of tyres early otherwise.

Worth checking your tyre pressure gauge if you have had it for some time. I had what I imagined to be a very good quality gauge but it was out of calibration and when I thought I had inflated the tyres to 32 PSI, they were actually 26PSI. The tyres seemed a little soft so I borrowed another gauge from a chap at work.
The old pressure gauge ended up in the bin.
