Three things I don’t like about my Landie

Don’t get me wrong, the things that I like about my Landie are too many to publish here. It’s much easier to list the few things that I wish were designed differently:

1. The lack of ashtray or a place I can put the little rubbish during a trip: chewing gum wrappers, Minty wrappers, receipts for fuel, etc.
2. The hard edge of the dashboard, where my left knee rests.
3. The weird angled shape of the Sun Visor that influence my sense of balance and composition.
Apart of that, I do like everything else about my Landie.

Am I alone in this grumbling?

get a wood company armrest with a cubby inside, or a LR premium cubby hole cover for that hole behind the handbrake.

put a bit of pipe insultion over the offending knee scratching place. I think LR once did a cushion thing for this area

get sunglasses and a stick on windscreen sun strip (green with you and your ladies names on)

Dear Chicken George,

Great advice!
I embrace your world’s solutions for the tiny inconveniences, I already grew used to.
I was looking for other grumbling souls. Very Happy

The general lack of storage space has always been a minus unfortunatly.

For example, for us with a spare wheel: which if had been designed to be retained the other way round there would have been a large storage space available on the inside of the wheel - as many other cars have.

Would also have liked some more sensibly designed storage space accesable from the drivers seat. The cubby hole behind the handbrake is far better WITHOUT the cover, but later models had a "premium cover" on it which then restricts what it can be used for.

However the Freely does have some useless storage - what the Censored are the pockets on the front of the front seats designed for?
VESKO - Maybe you can use them for rubbish and used chewing-gum Laughing mine just fill up with crumbs which I find when occasionally vacuuming the inside ........
.......and, who uses the built in holders INSIDE the glove compartment for coins and a pen and somethings I have no idea what they should hold Question 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

RRS has two glove boxes, a big cubby in the armrest, a slidey cover thingy next to the gear lever, an ashtray and two cubbies in each front door, one in each rear.

everything is tidied away but can I ever find it again Confused

oh and the silly kangaroo pouches in the seat fronts too, also a big space behind the rear seats useful for carrying shopping luggage, bodies etc.

and an under boot area for the merchandise At work
