Yeah, but Aviva ain't exactly a company I'd deal with. Their policy is not as good as others.

I agree it's nonsense, but the EU says it's got to happen to avoid discrimination - looks like reverse discrimination to me. Rolling Eyes 10MY (Sept 09) TD4 HSE Auto in Stornoway Grey (Now Gone)

Was with Direct Line for a Disco 2. Informed them of a vehicle change to FL2 and listed the factory options and dealer fitted accessories it had. Finally after 30+ minutes Yawn came the reply our underwriters won't insure your new vehicle Shocked
Have ended up with LRI who didn't mind any factory options or dealer fitted accessories at a cost of £433. They even said it's surprising how many people get refused cover when mentioning the options/accessories fitted and end up with LRI.
Has anybody else experienced this? 2015 BMW

We have just changed our 3 cars from Admiral to LV, FL2 HSE 12k miles £290 including EU and legal cover.
It just depends which companies are seeking premium income to invest at the time you renew, this week Axa seem to be looking for income so may be worth a look. Smile

Its also well worth checking the latest policy documents, Admiral for one have made changes to which I would not agree. Only giving basic third party cover abroad is becoming common with many.

Spuddie, I am with Ditect Line, they have been competitive and not bothered about fitted options?

This is what happens when call centres full of box tickers get employed, very little knowledge and no qualifications, to the company behind them, it's simply a numbers game, sod the complicated ones, go after lots of easy ones.

Someone will ask, full business use, 35k miles a year, £550 with protected NCB

Hastings Direct - fully comp, protected NCD, £95 comp. excess, nil voluntary, c/car etc. £161 and going via a cash back web site, £41 back as well. So the whole lot for a year for £120 and in SWMBOs name, so can't see how insurance has gone up for females.

LV was cheapest of all for me. Also if you work in the civil service sector then concider joining the the CMSA club. My qoute dropped from £545 to £485 for being a member.
They also have some great leisure retreats.
