The fact that you had less than a quarter tank of fuel could be an indication that the electric transfer pump in the fuel tank has failed, & is not allowing that fuel to be used.

An easy test of the crank sensor is to see if the tacho reads around 250rpm when cranking. If it does then the sensor is likely to be ok, if not, renew it with an oem one.

Definitely not factory, & it’s some sort of warning buzzer, but for what is anybody's guess.
