The assessor came out today and said it'll be around £8000. The question to him was are you an 'engineer' and how can you tell the damage its done to the driveshafts etc.? The answer was no!!!

Just because LR put them there doesn't mean anything, (They probably use that type 'cos they are cheaper) They are a weight so as long as they balance the wheel it won't matter where they positioned.

There have been problems with a tapping noise from the bottom of the a-pillar, it sometimes sounds as though it is coming from the door. it is a known problem and easily fixed under warranty.

Its hard to see from the quick photos i managed to take before the truck arrived but the rear wheel has been bent into the body who knows what damage its done to the drive train  |

I'm no expert but I think it should be OK as if you increase the diameter of the wheel, you'll be decreasing the wall height of the tyre and thus the 'wheel plus tyre' diameter will not alter???
