| blown.usually caused by starting in gear with out the clutch in ,on transits, but of course freelanders have to have the clutch in to start. |

| is it black smoke?if so sounds like a split turbo hose,usually the first one to go is the one to the throttle body right at the front at the top of engine. |

| they are not fused,one of the ecus controls them ,try a hard battery reset,disconnect both battery terminals hold together for ten minutes.then reconnect. |
