| Not really the answer to your question but you could temporarily remove the fuse in the passenger footwell to disable them, however it is shared with the radio. |

Problem solved (sort of).
not a special edition or fancy option but a fault with the radio, removed the fuse for the radio (f6 in the passenger footwell) and the glow has gone. |

Inquired at a couple of normal garages and they were both about £800.
The parts themselves aren't too expensive, about £200 if you source them yourself. |
