Even the 256GB SSD will be fast.

How much RAM have you got in your Macbook? Might be a cheap(ish) upgrade to performance you can do there.

You can set Time Machine to back up to any drive connected to your Mac, so just buy an external USB hard drive and use that. You'll be able to get a 2TB drive for less than £100 Smile

Didn't work on my MY13 GS Sad

Maybe the lower end audio system in the GS doesn't allow you to do it or is there another method for that version?
