That's correct, the arm on the actuator was stiff, this caused the electrics to burn out.
The annoying thing is the fault has likely been going since I got the car 3 years ago as it had the same n ... |

As promised the final result
I replaced all hoses, blanked egr, added an extra earth strap, changed fuel and air filter.
Garage found a very small leak in the intercooler, this was not the issu ... |

| to be honest its not been an issue but im looking at turbos and if my car is 118kw and the rest are 150-160 im not sure it makes a difference but £650 is an expensive mistake |

yes i does have a clip already on, its the type with a claw that goes inside the pipe. thats what caused the issue it had split the hose on the band and i had to renew it.
