Could you not just fit the later manifold without the flaps?
That's what I did, the replacement manifold came from a scrapped Peugeot - same part numbers moulded into it as the Land Rover manifolds ... |

| It is a while since I replaced mine and I think it took me all day with some help from my son. I do tend to work slower than most with this sort of job though. |
