All done - an hour from jack in to out. Halfshaft from eBay shop of J &R cv joints etc (no connection etc) at £65 and jobs a good ‘un.

Lost a couple of tablespoons of gearbox oil but nothin ...

Perfect -thanks. Surprisingly the half shafts are quite reasonably priced too -£65 or so. Will update when I do the job in the week.

That clutch problem sounds familiar mine is a bit hesitant to return upwards sometimes but if there’s no leak at the bell housing joint it’ll be ok for your journey I’d say
