If your running with Conti's then yes, they do tend to wear on the edge if on the front, especially the nearside.

They are Conti's and that pretty much nails it thanks - why is that though?

I'm having 4 new Nokians fitted tomorrow and I noticed that my passenger side front tyre has worn more than the drivers side, around 3mm vs. 4mm after 35K.

It's a 2011 SD4 - anything to be concerne ...

So bit of a thread resurrection but I'm about at that point where I need to change.

Still considering the Nokian's so any more feedback now it's a bit warmer would be good.

When my original Conti's need replacing I think I shall go for some "All Season" tyres since like many people I don't honestly feel I can justify dedicated winter tyres.

So what's the process then? You're at the top of it, stationary, and you turn on HDC, then what?

How do you stop the car building up speed which I thought it would still do even with HDC engaged?

I was out in mine in snow for the first time today (Midlands so we had around 4 inches of the stuff by 11am this morning).

It was an interesting experience.

No issues with grip or traction that ...
