Bit the bullet and bought it from VEGE. Hoping it's a good un. Remanufactured so has to better than the fly by night's that are all too prevalent on the net. Time will tell I guess...

Think they are plastic but there is visible damage. I could chance it that the rods haven't bent and hope compression is ok. Only had the car a week! No signs up until it happening. Risks you take buy ...

Thanks Bobbyg. Did the damage look similar? Still trying to decide on recon engine or repair... Can get an engine for £1450 with fitting on top. Have you had your swirls blanked?
