Yes, there is a breather pipe. Top of the diff I think towards the nearside. In any event I would change the leaking diff seal - not difficult and the seal is cheap.

I don't think removing the prop on a FL2 would get rid of diff whine - unless you go the whole hog and remove the centre section of the rear drive shafts as well! Shocked
