Did you forget to blind off the small hose going to the vacuum regulator on the old manifold... 
And did you replace all the gaskets as well? Maybe you have a leak there? |

Ok, maybe the next step is to check the whole air path for cracks and leaks... Maybe you can construct a smoke generator and pump/blow in air and see where it seep out. Would sure make it easier.

Fix the clutch with what, the same spec components that can't handle the peak torque in 5th or 6th? Or have JLR up rated the clutch in the spare parts department and i am not aware of it?
