Mine's now been upgraded. You will be in no doubt if this happens to you; limp mode is not slightly reduced performance, it is absolutely crippled.

Yep My SD4 is only two weeks old and the VIN is newer than the ones mentioned for recall. But I had DPF problem with Reduced Engine Perforamnce. Thanks LR ruined my Wedding Aniversary.
Why if they know about the problem are they still buliding them with the fualt. "Charming"

You, folks on the island, have been largely sparred from Freelander's rampant DPF problems. So far. Or should I say: Welcome To The Club? I come from the German forum "blacklandy.de" and guess, what is the subject of the longest thread with 87 pages and 864 posts there? Right. It is DPF and ensuing Reduced Engine Performance. It's outrageous, but LR-cars are high in demand currently, so why should they bother to fit this thing properly?
