Back in January I renewed for £300 with swiftcover.com, they've been pretty good to me the past 2 years

I was with Swift Cover for the last 2 years. Just got my renewal and the whacked it up £120 for no good reason so they are now dead to me.
Currently, Hastings are my cheapest option. I have 7 days to find better.
Peg Leg - who are you with. That's a good price!

Strange as Hastings just did my renewal at £760. 5yrs no claims. Told them where to stick it. Found direct line cheap as they are doing 12 months for price of 10 2007 TD4 S Zermat Silver, maual, panoramic sunroof, rear headrest entertainment system, towbar for trailer.

Just tried direct line. £150 more than Hastings??
There's no logic to it....

Thanks Pegleg.

I found something very strange - check this if you're getting quotes:
I was quoted a worse price for garaging my FL2 overnight than when I said it would be on my drive!!
Go figure...

I wonder if it's because a vehicle in a garage is more liable to get damaged? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

I always assumed that you'd get a lower premium with it stored in a garage since it's less prone to being stolen?
Maybe they have different logic but I suspect it's more of a coding error with their automated systems.
I say this because I was also able to get a lower premium for a £250 voluntary excess than for £300??

If you have the time and patience when renewing, it's worth trying a few variants with the options - you might save £20 for something negligible or even beneficial.
