its a space saver believe it or not, why they dont just use a matching size is beyond me, something to do with the spare being steel and the bolts being for alloys At work |

Its not so much a space saver as a Full 19" fits in the hole, more like money saving. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

I can't understand how its decided what car will have a full size tyre with alloy, a skinny tyre on steel or a compressor and a can of junk.

Correct me if I am wrong but haven't LR stopped supplying a spare of any kind now, its a can of jollop unless you spend another £180 when ordering a new Freely. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior |

yup, spot on... Thankfully lloyds are giving me a full sized spare alloy. I'd be stuffed with a can of hairmousse! If you're going new then push for alloy in the deal ![]() |

I think mine's a same size 235/65 17 spare on steel wheel, but it's a Hankook rather than a Conti. 2008 Td4 SE |

Just did (its on the front now) after getting a full size alloy for spare. Maybe it was put on there by previous owner though. |

CG is correct (again) - spare is a 225/65 17 not 235/65 17 |

Snap, 235 on mine too. Swapped the tyres round so I only needed one new wrangler for the back.
