Yes,I'm a happy chappy. The trip to Cornwall was all good but not very comfortable as I put my left leg in the passenger footwell to stop it wanting to be a part of the driving experience.
Auto box is brilliant in use and I'm getting use to it quite quickly, average speed was 65mph, touching 85mph where possible and fuel worked out at 38.5mpg. Thanks for everyones kind and comical comments.

I have it on good authority that there is a Yorkshireman in Cornwall with one hell'uva a big grin.

Cheers shilen,
First impressions are:
Yes the engine is quieter, maybe sound proofing improved?, does get more vocal when pushed up towards rev limit(only did this once ) but still sounded sweet.
Road noise is quieter, maybe retuned suspension and again better sound proofing?
An absolutely beautiful auto box, very smooth changes in normal "drive" mode and kickdown is no different to a floored throttle on a manual.
Very potent engine, very broad power band and just keeps accelerating.
Ride is very good and no different from previous model.
2000rpm equates to 80mph, less revs running than my manual at that speed which was 2000rpm = 70mph.
Excellent first impression of the fuel consumption, 38.5mpg "A" road and motorway.

Either way, I was very happy with my TD4e manual and even happier with this one

Nick, the pasty's are ordered and I am taking a batch home with me, afraid you will have to take my word for it on how they will taste.
