Canadian version of DRL

Hi, Guys
From this year a law about a necessity of DRL came into force in our country.
Our dealer can turn on only so called a Scandinavian version of DRL. In this case some car lights always shine if its engine is started.
I found a workshop manual for FL2 and read about possible versions of DRL of FL2. It appears that there is else Canadian version of DRL. In this case ligts are automatically turned off if the gear seelector is in the position P or the parking brake is activated.
My friends and I tried to program this mode with IDS but we was able to turn on only the Scandinavian version.
Does someone except Canadian car's owners have the Canadian version of DRL?

Sorry for my wry English. I began to study it recently.
I'll be thankful for your corrections of my mistakes

I don't know why they (Land Rover) just don't make Daytime Running Lights (DRL) standard on all the vehicles they produce. Why have different versions of DRL (Scandinavian, Canadian) with very few differences. It just creates confusion and costs them more money in the long run.

Bikers and biking organisations are generally very against DRL as it means they don't stand out from other vehicles (in the UK most bikers have their lights on permanently).

As one of these peeps too I wouldn't want to blend in with every car on the road, we're hard enough to notice on the road to some people anyway (we call them cagers) - I need to be seen so I'm happier without DRL.
