Got my renewal yesterday a massive price hike of £9 from last year to £231(about 4%) - still cannot get over the shock, I thought that insurance companies were pushing massive increases onto us. With HSBC, found through Gocompare last year.

Had a suprise few weeks ago when i renewed, did the usual comparison sites, looked at the sites directly, looked for cashback and everything was at least £100 or more expensive over last year.

But.....Swift cover's renewal quote, they kept it the same as last year.

My missus' 170 brake Golf had almost doubled.

I checked it on at least 3 insurers and all virtually the same

My renewal came in from Privilege, £200 a year more because I now have a SP30 conviction and 3pts on my licence
When I informed them of the SP30 they said it would not make any difference.
