Due my 1st service and wanted the rear parking sensors fixed under warranty....... Just wanted to share a good tip for anyone in Berkshire, rang Stratstone Slough for a servicing quote and nearly had a heart attack when they replied £450...... The wife popped into Guy Salmon in Ascot and was quoted initially £380, then negotiated down to £317..... still expensive but not bad for this area.

Anyone know the best place to go for a removable towbar (don't say at the back of the car)...javascript:emoticon('') Respect due!

Should have looked around / read the forum BEFORE booking / going ahead - DOH!

Can anyone in the Kent Or South East area recomend a Landrover specialist to carry out the first service as I refuse to pay nearly £400 for a gloryfied oil change from a main dealer. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I paid £270 for our first service from a Land Rover main dealer.

I'm being quoted 401pds inc parts and VAT at Hartwells Oxford and 388pds at Stratstone Glos. & TH White Swindon for a 1st service on my MY10 manual.
Will i lose warranty cover if i elect to use a recognised Indy?

I have today booked my10 F2 Manual XS for the first Service which is due first week in March. The cost from Stratstones of Cupar is £320. Not bad I thought as my Mercedes is never cheaper than £400.

Courtesy car and wash and vacuum (not a full valet) included

PS It's a 2010 td4-e manual HSE ( it used to be an apartment in Harrogate )

First Service at Farnells in Guiseley appears to have gone smoothly

1. Car picked up between stated times
2. Car dropped off before I got home, washed and vacuumed ( and serviced, I hope )
3. Service department staff member, very polite and helpful on phone. Didn't sound frustrated at all when going through my questions

Labour charge £157.50 + VAT
Engine Oil £54.95 + VAT (Says Shell Oils, not more specific)
Parts £18.52 + VAT (Drain Plug Gasket, Pollen Filter, Oil Filter and Screen Wash)

Total cost £277.16

Only thing I could moan about is, I'd asked not to top up screenwash on my list but it's cost me £2.47. I'll ask them to knock it off the price of my next Freelander!!!!!

Mine has been done today, and I feel I have been to.

Stratstones Nottm, £320 all in (£395 inc VAT), collected from work and delivered back, washed and vacuumed.

They have acknowledged a fault with the drivers seat not staying up and say they need to order bulletin parts. Annoying since I told them 3 weeks ago about the problem when I booked it in. I suppose they could not order parts until they verified it was faulty, still, b y inconvenient though.  MY2014 SD4 XS
