United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver
Some Questions about my HSE

Could anyone help me with a few questions about my FL2

I've read the manual a few times but none the wiser sorry :-

How does the auto headlights setting work?
How do I tell if my FL2 has bixenons fitted?
When should I use the ECON setting on the climate control? Is it only for use in summer to get the cabin temperature cool but as economically as possible?
Does anybody know what the stealer charges for fitting side steps?

Thanks in advance for any answers

Can only offer an answer to one question mate:-

AFAIK, the ECON setting switches the aircon OFF, (i.e. disengages the pulley clutch, thus disengaging the compressor), hence saving fuel, but only getting cooling from outside air/blowers.

I'd think in the summer, you'd not want to switch to ECON initially, if the cabin is hot, but maybe later, after the aircon has cooled it down. I suppose experimentation is the thing.

Bests. We Don't Care About Pot Holes !!

Andymcfc, Auto lights work with the switch in the auto posion and the lights should come on when the sensor feels it is dark enough, but it is not that clever with fog it has trouble sensing fog but at the same time you can be heading into the morning sun with the sun visor down, shades on and still the headlights will be on Confused

Easiest way to check for factory fit Bi Xenons is do you have the Headlight Level adjuster by the light switches, if you have Bi Xenons no switch is needed as they are self leveling. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Air con is a very usefull tool to demist and dehumidify it is automatically switched on when screen button used. It is the quickest way to demist. Heated front screen is to deice outside. Should also be run regularly to keep seals oiled, they dry out and then gas can leak. A recharge is about £80.
All in handbook. All FL2's (3) Gone

FL2 GS Auto SD with heated leather, factory tints, alloy spare and a few other bits.
