Just seen that What Car Awards 2011 have named landrover as the best 4x4 for the seventh year in a row. It's for the Discovery 4.  2007 TD4 S Zermat Silver, maual, panoramic sunroof, rear headrest entertainment system, towbar for trailer.

What do you expect?

"What Car?" is an UK mag. So it's only normal they do award UK cars!

The same is true for AutoBild in Germany: only German cars are among the first ones!

But on the other hand, which other true 4x4 are out there? They're all going SUV or want to be 4x4.

So Land Rover is the only one left! Except for Unimogs but you can't compare apple and pears, can you?

I beg to differ when it comes to the British press. For a free country, it does seem pretty expensive these days.
