Steering Wheel Controls

Hi Guys,
Bit of a weird one but this is the situation. I seem to have to press the channel button twice on the steering wheel to get it to change channel but only for the first time.

Dont think im doing anything weird as this is what i do.
I get into the car, insert the key, engine on and turn the radio on (or its already on).
I go to change the radio station so I press the up button. Upon pressing the button (either up or down) the station doesnt change but sounds its as if i've pressed the numbered button the stereo as the radio station doesnt change.
I press the button on the steering wheel again (for the second time) and it moves the channel (normally) from this point on.

Is it normal?

Thanks,
Chris

The radio station will have swapped to a stronger channel, so what your finding is

Channel on start up>preset channel > switch preset channel Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
