Starter Button (not starting)

Went out this morning & docked the key - pressed the starter & nout at all, did this a few times then removed it & tried again & all was ok. Is this just a blip or has anyone else had it?

I have noticed that starting the car in the recent cold weather that the battery sounds as if it has little life in it. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

EV - Possibly a case many are concerned with, frequent cold starts....
Heated rear window - on
Blower - on
Heated wing mirrors - on
Heated washer jets - on
HEATED SEATS - ON
Wipers - on
Radio 2 - on (Numerous other radio stations are available)

I know many on here have never ever needed one (including the guys from the proper colder regions) but I guess it depends solely on the recharge time you give the battery, how about a separate battery charge once a month Question

Yep, this cold weather batters the battery.
Give it a trickle charge every few days or at least take your car for a long run.
The cold does affect the charge inside the battery so try to have as little electrical loads switched on as possible. The HRW does take a lot out of the battery; and the starter motor more so, hence short trips are not good. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

I've just bought a Ring Professional Powerpack from Halfords for £109.99. I attached it to the Freelander's battery and at -12C it did not start!!!!

Mine does this often, just have to eject the key and reinsert it, then its away, the only thing you have to remember is not to use a Freelander 2 to do a bank job Shocked Laughing . I was only wrong once and thats when I thought I was but wasnt.

Thanks for the replies, however I only have the heated seats on once started up & the HRW only comes on if I turn it on (unlike my Rover 75 that came on auto under 9 Centigrade).
As for the heated mirrors I havn't worked out how they work yet as on all my other cars they are auto - any ideas? (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

On mine the Heated door mirrors only activate when you turn on the HRW or press the "PROG" switch above it which does the same job and more!

Never liked the always on mode as per my previous BMW, couldn't see the point in the middle of summer and no way to turn them off.
