Freelander 2 Sports Styling Kit (HST Style)

Hi,

I am about to purchase a freelander 2 GS or XS. I am interested in fitting the after factory sports styling pack (exhaust tip, front and rear bumper, spoiler, grill etc), however I have only found duckworth parts (approx £1500) that have a price for it online. Can anyone let me know if they have seen or bought it from somewhere else and at what price?

Also has anyone attempted to fit this kit themselves or has it to be installed by a LR specialist?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Depending on colour, they come up from time to time on the famous auction site for less than £1k. Phil

Any LR dealer should be able to supply you with the kit

I know some people have fitted it temselves, mainly its just peeling back the sticky tape, or applying a little glue and sticking it on, the HST grill does require some cutting out of the standard grill

it basically sticks on with 3m tape, spoiler and grill take a little more fitting but nothing technical other than hacksawing out the origonal (better) grill in order to ram an ugly replacement in the hole.

it maybe be cheaper to just beat your car with a hammer this will ruin its looks nearly as much as the sports kit Thumbs Up At work

Just looked trough the install manual. It's like people say. 3M tape and some screws.
Grill is the only thing that needs cutting.
I have mine painted and ready to put on. Not going to mount the grill tho.....Like the OEM better than the mesh one. Smile
Good luck.

Got mine from the dealer btw. FL2, TD4 HSE

Can't agree with you on this, I think it improves the looks of the car big time. I know I am biased because I have this kit fitted, but just look at two cars side by side the FL2 with the kit fitted looks so much better. So many people have commented to me how much better it looks. But still it's horses for courses, and if we we all liked the same life would be very boring FL2 HSE Sumatra black with body kit

I have to agree. Smile
That aside.....I didn't know the xenons was optional on the HSE? I see in your gallery that you got halogens. FL2, TD4 HSE

I used to think the HST kit looked good and I was sooooo close to buying one. Your right, it does look better than a standard Freelander 2, but the 2009/2010 HSE that is fully colour coded looks better than the kitted FL2.

Thats the route I took with mine. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
