SD4 HSE - Dealer or shop around?

Had a test drive in one of these - love it, and ready to buy! Should I just go with the local dealer or shop around? Any suggestions?

Shop around, your local dealer might not be the best price or sale experience Thumbs Up

Would love to help! Thumbs Up

It this moment in time it is more a case of getting hold of one. Most brokers are now quoting February and I had one customer say that they were quoted a 'best guess' at March.

We have a couple due Nov/Dec, so let me know what spec you are after and hopefully we will have something for you.

If I wanted an SD4 HSE in mid April when would be the last date to order?

Shilen,

It will depend on which dealer you talk to and what demand is like over the next few months. It may be worth placing an order now, but requesting that it is not placed with the factory until the end of the year. The only issue would be that the dealer would need to give you the option (up until ordering with the factory) that if there were any specification or price changes between now and then, then your deposit would be refundable.

Hopefully the above would give you the flexibility of reserving a build slot for March (for April delivery) but the flexibility to 'opt out' if there is any changes to the spec or price. We would be happy with this arrangement, but once the order is placed with the factory then the deposit would be non-refundable.

The only other issues would be that no dealer would be able to predict the value of a part-exchange as far in advance as April, and the Q2 2011 offers will not be known until 1st April, therefore you would need to expect nothing and then be pleasently suprised if there is an offer which is applicable to the model you ordered. Cool

Hope this helps, and if you want to place the order with us then please let me know!

Fab, will keep an eye out for it. If you get a moment and want to email me directly at jamestayler@lookers.co.uk then it will save having to wait for the website to process the enquiry!
