Count me out, looks like a 2 +2 to be honest. And why have car manufacturers decided that we are only allowed to carry 2 passengers in the back!! Loads of cars are 4 seaters now. Doh...

Probably end up being a Coupe Cabriolet... Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Inside wow, outside is really good, but the back of the car is the only downside, it just does not right.

Cars are changing really quickly now, the credit crash was such a good thing, car companies have had to up there game and some are doing that really well. Well done LR HSE, Auto, Colour - Yes

2+2 doesn't work for me either. Just squeeze another seat belt in and make it a cramped 5 passenger (2 + 3).

They have gone in a mini Range Sport direction for the interior which looks OK, but a bit disappointing compared to the original LRX concept interior.

Anyone else notice the ugly buttons surrounding the NAV screen.

Me too, but not the white one!

I like the black one.

I liked the LRX concept version but the commercial version comes very close to it.

The front and lights of the Evoque have benn stolen by Ford: their new Ford Explorer 2011 SUV just looks the same

From a German forum I read that there was just someone coming back from the Paris Motor preshow (journalists?):

He's impressed by the car and thinks it will be THE city SUV!!! It will sell like the iPhone!!! (His words not mine)

Interior very high quality!!! Many items from Jaguar XJ like the steer-wheel.

Evoque will be sold as "Pure", "Prestige" and "Dynamic" editions!
Even the PURE edition has high quality interior!

The "Prestige" has features made by Mrs, Beckham.

The Dynamic Edition will be different from the 2 others.

3 roof colors available: black, white, car color.

Price range: from 30000 Euro (Pure) to 43000 Euro (Dynamic).

3 engines from Freelander 2: 150 or 190 hp Diesel or 2.0 V6 engine with 240 hp.

5 door version same quality (but only available in the USA at the beginning)

First version sold June/July 2011 in Europe. Till then every week new features will be shown.

LR wants to sell 75000 Evoque/year!

If the hype around this car continues it could be possible.

it has the "Must have" factor!

2015 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Santorini Black

Very modern though the centre console is a bit Volvo like. Seats look very smart. The model with the black roof looks best from an exterior point of view as I think the roof line would look better if it didn't slope back so much & the black doesn't show this so much.

Now it's down to cost! (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.
(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

Given that's the "target" lead-in price for €land, the rapacity of the Swiss LR-Jaguar importer will, on past performances, be setting his sights on an uplift of around 30% -

And that's without options/accessories e.g. Mrs Beck's lipstick holder.
