United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 GS Auto Orkney Grey
Yokohama Geolander AT-S V Continental Cross Contact AT

I am looking to get a more aggressive AT tyre on 235 65 17. Used to have 255 65 17 General Grabber AT on my old Freelander, these were fine but mess up the speedo, fuel computer due to larger rolling diameter than original fitment + poss. insurance issues with none stock size! grip offroad from these were great but did start to get a little noisey when worn.

With my new Freelander, I would like to keep to the orginal size if possible. These 2 tyre patterns seem to be the best available.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these tyres, on a freelander or another vehicle? Or are there any other brands I have missed?

Australia 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Lago Grey

I have the Yoko Geolander ATS on mine and they are excellent. Wearing very well, I've done 25.000km and the tread looks unworn. Not noisy on road and good in the dirt. Very happy. Mike

Last two year I use the ContiCross Contact AT 255/60 R18
Except the daily on road motion, they have been tryed in several terrain / adventures (mud, snow, rocks ...) and I am very satisfied.

Thanks for replies.
Have got a set of Yokos on order, due back into stock on 16th Sept. Would have prefered the Contis, but they could not give a delivery date, they are only made to order, once the order book is large enough to warrant a production run, not a lot of good if you need to replace one!!

Will let you know how the Yokos perform in Cornish mud, later. 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone
