Trailer tyre Pressure Sensors

Flicking through a caravan magazine yesterday, I came across an article about a land rover developed system for monitoring tyre pressures on ANY trailer and being displayed on the rear view mirror.

Due to the shonky IT at work, I can't look any further, but below is the link to the system. Probably expensive, but worth the cost?

For any of the caravanners here it is in this months CARAVAN magazine.

The article in the magazine indicated that tyre pressure sensors are going to become compulsery in the UK in the near future (2012?). I'm not sure if it could be retrofitted to cars currently without sensors (ie my GS!).

I would certainly be interested if it could be retrofitted, depending on cost. Anything to make towing more safe is worth it in my book.

No doubt there will only be a few places in the UK they can be fitted, so it will probably be a weekend away in the caravan to get it done Wink
