Axle symbol

Went off road this evening, nothing to difficult. just slippery mud on hills and ruts only about 4" deep.
I think my 16 year old lad enjoyed more than me; i was too wary of damage!! I was impressed despite being on Michelin road tyres.

During this, an 'axle' symbol came on briefly on the instrument pack panel.
Anyone know what this means, diff lock of some sort?
