On the subject of polishing...apparently in some countries you have to sign a disclaimer when you buy a new BMW not to polish the car unless you want to void its paint warranty. Although in Britain they don't make you do this, they are just turning down claims.

Apparently new BMW's have awful paint quality that changes in the weather, is permanently marked when a bird uses it for target practice,, een after a couple of days, and polish damages the paint!!!
