Suspect the car used was probably a pre-production vehicle (or maybe the shots came from more than 1 car) as the interior looks like the leather / alcantara mix that in the UK at least will be on XS models, and also the vehicle is badged as a TD4 but has body colour side and rear sills which I think will now only come with SD4 models.
Also think the wheels shown are the new 19" optional alloys. 2011 SD4 HSE Ipanema Sand

Like: New front 2 bar grill, rear spoiler - I'd like both
Dislike: Front fog lamp housing, front wheel spoilers, alloys, seat covering

Unsure about the extended rear tailgate handle - is it just cosmetic or will it keep the number plate cleaner in bad weather?

So will not rush out and order this face lift - but - I'm very interested to hear if 2bar grill will fit onto current MY2010 without major (and expensive) reengineering.

He's saving it Tonka, that's what he's doing!

Q: Are they making 2wd compulsory fit?
A: No

Q: Are they still making 4wds?
A: Yes

Therefore - no problem.

So daft as it may sound, some people may actually want the choice of 4x4 looks without having the fuel consumption of a 4x4. B

est of it is those that get stuck with a 4x2 in winter may then curse their judgement and upgrade to a 4x4 FL2! Thumbs Up

PS: Were you a Porsche 911 owner in a previous life who was shocked by Cayenne going diesel? Laughing
PPS: Still don't like the rear tailgate bling, although it does look slightly better than the original effort.

i have been looking at the picture and looking at my car out the office window and my findins are

same shape headlights, same shape front wings, so I think you can change to the new grill by a swap of the front bumper

but when you take into account you need to buy, paint the bumper, buy the grill, front fog housings, and fog lights, new mesh for lower bumper and then add LR price tags for parts

SD4 will be 2 seconds quicker upto 60mph than the TD4 coming in at 8.7 seconds ( Shocked)

Top speed will increase by 6mph

The lack of a new interior is very disappointing. At a glance most peeps couldn't tell the difference between the facelift and the old.

Never mind, won't be trading up for sure........... Thumbs Up 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

The leather seats look nicer if they are real leather and not just pleather again Exclamation 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Front fogs are a step backwards - they don't look integrated.
The newer headlamps do give much better output, but can be expensive to repair.
I don't care what the excuse is for the front spoiler, take the designer out and shoot him/her strait away. Sad
I understand that quite a few people like the integrated colours of the lower doors, bottom of the bumpers and door mirrors - but - I think that for a car that is designed for off-road it's a bad move.
Looks like they have dropped the silly auto dipping interior rear view mirror - great, mine has had a piece of insulation tape over the sensor since day two.
Love the new two tone seat colours.
Hope the front parking sensors are a dealer option fit, or is this an attempt to reduce the warranty claims?
What are the additional lights in the lower section of the rear bumper?
Quite like the new boot handle, as long as there is a non-chrome version.

Two wheel drive for those who don't off-road or drive on snow seem a good idea, as long as there is a 4x4 option more choice can only be better.

Will be keeping mine for some time yet as even with the more powerful engine there isn't enough of a change to warrant the additional expense.
What did you expect - reactionary luddite at heart. Embarassed Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner
