United States 2010 LR2 i6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey
Backup Camera with Factory Nav Screen

I was wondering if anyone has looked into adding a backup camera to work with the factory nav screen. I found these two products:

http://www.avelectronic.com/NavigationVide...rface.html

http://www.navvideo.com/navvideo-models-nv_gvif_lr.asp

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about these or if anyone has any better solutions to accomplish this? I want it to function like a factory backup camera where the nav screen shows the camera when I put the car in reverse and then switches back to normal when I switch out of reverse. 2010 LR2, Stornoway Grey, HSE Lux

Good find, wonder what pricing is on that. I've been looking into the avelectronic module. People who have installed it on other car models love it. 2010 LR2, Stornoway Grey, HSE Lux

This looks to be the same camera here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...K:MEWAX:IT. Not a bad price but I wonder how good of a fit it is on a Freelander 2/LR2 and if it's compatible with the modules in my original post. 2010 LR2, Stornoway Grey, HSE Lux

I really want the Avelectronics solution.
Got this from them:
"There is only one version of Navigation Video System for the Freelander 2. The system comes with plug&play cable, 3 video inputs, 1 automatic Backup camera input (with distance grid line), 1 video output (for rear monitor) & IR remote(for changing video inputs)"

Sounds great. 450$ incl shipping to Norway for the unit. + the camera.

You got quoted $450 and that included a backup camera? If so that's not too bad. I wonder how hard the install is though 2010 LR2, Stornoway Grey, HSE Lux
