Hi anyone

I need to change my tailgate switch due to water ingress, does anyone have any information on how i go about it and where can i buy a new switch.

The local dealer for the switch and not expensive about £7 if i recollect correctly and takes a about 20 minutes to fit. Easy to fit the only tools you will need is a flat blade screwdriver and a phillips head screwdriver a 10mm socket extention bar and a ratchet. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Do you access the switch from underneath or have to remove the interior trim as on a fl1?. I fixed the fl1's switch simply by adding some new springs..sensible non-rusting ones as opposed to LR's original rustomatic springs. At work

You need to remove the trim panel below the window which then reveals the three nuts that hold the mounting wich contains the number plate lights and the door switch. The switch is bit on the cheap side alloy with springs that are about as strong as the oness in a biro but with the water ingress its just a b mess and for £7 its not worth messing about unless your a tight fisted  p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

guilty the springs I used came from some old machine or other, so fixed for free and 100% better At work
