Can anyone recommend a LR specialist in the NW (close as possible to Knowsley) ?

I need to book in for a service soon, so all recommendations welcome.

I have used use Guy Salmon Stockport for the past few years - not the cheapest, but generally good standard of work, and doesn't mess about with warranty. ie if it's under warranty the work gets done no fuss. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Andy BMW 335i Coupe

When my first FL1 warranty prooved to be as usefull as a chocolate fireguard (courtesy of the now defunct St.Helens dealer, and the now changed hands Bury dealer) I called in to Landranger services in Atherton.

They did a couple of services and carried out some elctrical fault finding.
What can I say, they were old fashioned mechanics (not "technicians" ) who lived and breathed Landrovers of all types.
They fixed the two electrical faults first time, at no cost, I think they use Autologic diagnostics.
As part of the service they insisted on changing the rear diff oil that Landrover said was "fit for life", ie when the oil fails so does the diff!
They used genuine parts - at least on mine they did. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Emailed LandRanger (not answering phone), and I'm also going to get a price from LandRover themselves, as my car is in there in a few weeks getting some warranty work done on it.

If anyone else has any other recommendations, then please let me know.

Looking at around £250 from an independent 4x4 specialist, and £320 from a dealer.

Does this sound about right for a 3rd year service ?

1st one on the FL2, so not got a clue on service prices at the minute.........

I think derbyshire area , but does travel around so he'll come to your house, work, mother in laws etc
