Steam eminating from fuel tank filler.

My new FL2 was delivered with a full fuel tank, some 350+ miles later I stopped for my first fill up

While pumping fuel a lot of steam was being forced out the filler neck as the diesel went in. Now is this something to be concerned about. It's either new and some vapours were being vented or a fuel pump is running too hot or a exhaust manifold is missing. I'm on hols so I'll see if the thing has caught fire while I'm away!

Anyone experienced similar or know the internal fuel tank components that could be a source of heat. If it dies it next time I'll call the dealer...... 2010MY Freelander 2 HSE Auto

But no it's nothing to worry about, when you get 4 or 5 tanks through it it stops. Ours did the same. Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35
