Pull the dipstick out and put some drops to a white paper and you should see a differance. Used oil should appar almost as black paint. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto

I have just had the second service done and also paid £1.28 for the gasket. They changed, oil, air, fuel and polen filters as per schedule. Oil should be much clearer after its first changed, i checked mine when i got home (10 miles) and it was. I supply my own oil because Stratstone who are my local dealer use Castrol GTX Professional which meets the specification but is not the recommended oil (Castrol Magnatec). | ||

. The fault was fully diagnosed by the garages mechanic as he was filling with fuel at their forecourt when the problem occurred, yet he still had to fight hard for a refund.

he had bought the car from the same garage 2 years earlier. said Vauxhall garage is now a new property development, surprise surprise. oh and the manager of the garage is now a drummer, he played at the hog roast last week.
