Ipod and dvds

I want to use my ipod classic to play dvds through the rear screens, what method do you guys use to convert dvds into a format the ipod will play. The newer films have a digital image which is a 2 minute transfer, just wondered if there's a program anybody uses.Tried dvd shrink etc but it takes forever.

I have a few blueray's digital copies but the are normally 1gb in size which is stupid for an iPod/iPhone Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

I use Videora and it works fine, although the interface is simple to us, it's a little clunky and unresponsive (could be my pc). Can take time to convert a full movie so I line up a few and convert overnight. Phil

Are your a PC or a proper computer, sorry Mac!!? Videora works great on the PCs. I'll check my Mac for the software that I have on there.

I agree on phil-wkl's comments, my pc (granted it is 3 years old) takes about 2-3 hours to rip a DVD. The Mac takes about 20 minutes!! (That is 2 1/2 yo!!) Hi Darling, I'll be home in 10 mins. If I'm not back, please read this message again...

Just downloaded it and dvd decrypter, decrypter rips the film in around 20-30 mins(madagaskar 2),then videora converts it in around the same time,it then transfers it straight into itunes and 30 seconds later its on the ipod and ready to go.The rip was around 3.8gb.
This was on my laptop also.
Easy way to keep the kids happy without a car full of dvds.
