Is the HST a model on it's own or just the kit/wheels/trim etc.
My car has the kit, upgraded leather and most extra's you could want. But my cars an SE.
Can't really find any info on it that was all.

When i bought my 58, the SE had cloth interior standard, HST comes with heated leather etc but more important to me than any spec was that i wanted a 'nearly new' model. Hence i happened across a low-mileage HST (which also had auto transmission) and i got;

Front PDC
19" Alloys
Panoramic Sunroof
Sport Styling Pack
Bright Tailpipe
Privacy Glass
Metallic Paint
Rear Spoiler

I did not particularily need all that, my personal priorities were for the integrated sat-nav and seats with armrests, but i have now also been very pleasantly surprised at the usefulness of the privacy glass and the superb auto transmission.

At new, 'on-the-road' HST was nearly £4k more than the SE, but when added-up the extras total around £4k anyway ...so it finally just came down to looks and the HST styling pack did it for me :o)

Scotland 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e HSE Manual Lago Grey

we nearly bought an HST and it was basically an HSE with the bodykit, wheels and tinted glass.

very good value at the time as it was when they were trying to get rid of the last of the remaining stock, but colours were limited.

but after thinking about it overnight we backed out as we realised we were being tempted by the price, and it was not really a colour/spec we would have otherwise chosen.

For a record i have been trying to make a list of the 'standard car' differences between the HSE & HST. So far this is what i have come across:-

HST body kit, metallic paint, privacy glass, tailpipe and 19" alloys are standard - optional on HSE.
HST seats (leather with armrests etc) are elec heated, elec adjustable - but no memory as in HSE.
HST mirrors are elec heated, elec adjustable, auto powerfold - but no reverse auto-dip as in HSE.
HST has satin silver metallic interior finisher - the HSE has wood effect option.
HST has black door handles - HSE has tungsten.
Both have climate control but the HSE also has humidity control.
HST was only available in five colours.
HST has no DAB radio - but not sure if it was standard on all HSE's?

Has anyone discovered any more...

Hi Ian - Yes indeed, i meant its fixed at Satin on the HST ...the HSE offers all options.

Thanks AD - it sounds like DAB is 'optional'

:o)

Hi Eskdale

Many thanks for the HST wheel, it is immaculate ...although i have just ended up with yet another one!

Whilst stationary in a car park the person parked next to me tapped my car when they reversed out, front wheel-to-wheel, which only took the tiniest of chips out of my 19" shaddow chrome. But the daftie kept reversing with her plastic bumper caught on my tyre, the result caved-in her wing (Peugot 107) and spectacularily tore her front bumper right off - £1800 damage to her's but her insurance company were brilliant and only had to buy me a brand new alloy, they even offered me a courtesy car. The poor lass driving, started to cry when she saw the damage (no i did not shout at her!) so i did the only gentle-manly thing, and gave her a cuddle <lol>.

These LR2 are pretty tough :o)

Looks as though mines got quite a high spec-not sure what was standard on mine though and what were options.
i6 SE Auto-were they all auto's?
Tambora Flame met/pearl paint
HST Kit
19" Shadow chrome alloys
Full leather-electric heated seats-drivers memory
Folding mirrors with auto dip in reverse
Panoramic Sunroof
Alpine Speaker system
Satnav
Bluetooth and 6 cd changer
Cruise control
Puddle lights in mirrors

Wasn't looking for one when I bought it but for the price and spec I couldn't turn it down, really pleased with it though, and the missus loves it with being sat up like in the Disco

Is the Alpine pro logic system the one with the sub box in the boot?
