On cold wheels only if it is a standard alloy wheel use Autoglym wheel cleaner though note this is acid based so wet the wheel first, spray some on & leave for about a minute then use a bug sponge as it is textured which should do the job or an appropriate wheel brush.

Cheers for that I use P21 Gel and Poorboys Wheel wax (though haven't done the wax since last Summer)

Wheel cleaning is my least enjoyable cleaning operation and welcome any tips to make it easier, I bought some Autoglym wheel sealant spray but haven't tried it yet. FWIW I bought the Flash sheepskin wheel cleaner from Halfrauds for £7.99 and it's a load of rubbish. Thanks EV for the tips. |

White spirit won't harm the wheels or the paintwork.
